From travellers who submit a booking request, we collect: your name, WhatsApp number, email address (if provided), destination, property type, number of rooms, check-in and check-out dates, max price and any additional requirements you tell us about.

From providers who register, we collect: your name, ID or passport number, email address, WhatsApp number, business or property name, property types offered and destinations served.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Match travellers with suitable accommodation providers for their destination and property type;
• Allow providers to contact guests directly about their stated requirements;
• Verify and manage provider registrations;
• Operate, maintain and improve the platform;
• Communicate essential service-related information to you.

3. How Guest Details Are Shared With Providers

A guest's name and WhatsApp number remain masked until a provider purchases that request. Only the purchasing provider receives the contact details, and only for the purpose of contacting the guest about that specific request.

Purchased information must be kept confidential by the provider and may not be resold, shared, reproduced or used for any other purpose. Misuse of guest information may result in immediate suspension from the platform.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Guest information is only ever released to providers through the purchase process described above.

5. Security and Retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

6. Your Rights

In accordance with POPIA, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its processing. Requests can be sent to info@bookingrequests.co.za.
